Guild Policy
« on: January 05, 2011, 03:39:21 PM »
It's Cataclysm! it is a good time to refine some of our guild policies for small raids, and as well as to make known the principles upon we run the guild as a whole.

1. Slot rotation is a given. Your raid slot is not a given. We will always bring our best into progress fights. Everyone including myself are expendable. The guild's progress will always come first, based on the ideal class make up. Rotation will be done on farmed bosses based on viability; class make up etc, this applies on all groups, please consult your raid leader.

2. Raid performance is being monitored, usual expectations apply. Please come to raid fully prepared. Food buffs, Flasks etc. You are expected to know your class very well, and to perform to our raiding expectations. Otherwise, we will not hesitate to find someone who can fulfill our expectations.

3. Turn up for raid and ON TIME unless you have a very valid reason, and please state in the "Raid Availability" forum. We are not going to beg you to come for raids, we will not hesitate to look for replacement if we think any raider cannot commit to full raid time.

4. Fix your connection. We know is frustrating for you as well as everyone in raid. Call your ISP... and fuck them... till they send someone down and fix your problem etc...

5. DO NOT START ANY DRAMA that might affect the way others view our guild. Our aim is to be a top end Horde guild with members who are HUMBLE, and whom are respected by and respect others within the Thaurissan community. Needless to say... We don't wish to see any /2 E-peening, quarreling and all that shit... Please respect your name and the guild tag under your name... and if you cannot place the guild's interest above your own petty quarrels and arrogance... maybe you should find another guild...

*Application to another guild, If you are going to apply to another guild, please have the decency to inform an officer and remove yourself from the guild in the process. Whether you're successful or not, we do not care. We have lost way more people to Real Life issues than to other guilds, the numbers probably still a single digit.

if you have any concerns about our guild policy, please pm any officers using forum personal message system, thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If i want to change my main to another class now but i wasn't so sure the other time so i didn't post in that thread. What should i do?
A: Speak with an officer, however you are moved to the back of the queue for that class and we might not even field you for most raids. We prefer people not to change their main after raiding starts. You are the one that's going to suffer.

Q: Can invite my friend's alt to the guild? his main is in <XYZ>.
A: No. We had some issues with this situation before and prefer that they keep their alt in their own guild.

Q: Am i allowed to go runs like those of trash farming or VOA/BH kind of raid?
A: Go ahead as long you don't get your progression raids lockout saved, make sure you check carefully before you save to a lockout. Especially when your group is doing Heroic raids.

Q: I'm a casual and I'm addicted to raiding, can I join your raid please?
A: Usually no, unless your skills are exceptional and we have need of that class urgently
(That case would be very rare in Cataclysm as raid benefits are shared by different classes and they won't stack, i.e. it doesn't matter if we bring you or another class with similar buffs, they are the same.) Speak to an officer. If you going to keep asking and whining, we will ask you to leave.
However, if you think you are ready to commit to raids regularly, we can promote you from Casual to Trial and assign you to raid groups, please speak to an officer as well. Once you are Trial, raider expectation applies. Same rule applies to real life friends that are invited to guild as Casual.

Q: Is there going to be raid today?
A: If its a raid day theres going to be raid, please consult with your raid leader for your raid schedule. Please stop asking what time we start, when we have an ETA, we will announce in gchat and in GMOTD.
Waiting online doesnt kill you, and while we are recruiting more to prevent starting of raids late, we can't do anything when some raid member is unavailable due to work and stuffs.

Q: I always had raid slots last expansion, how come I'm not in a raid group?
A: We asked many times already, if you are still wondering, please check guild forum.
